Located in a majestic portion of the Adirondack Park, only 5 minutes from skiing on Whiteface mountain, Whiteface Community United Methodist Church currently serves the communities of Wilmington, Jay and Upper Jay. It has been located in Wilmington for over a century. Our Pastor Chrys Beck was welcomed as our leader in February of 2016.

We are a warm and welcoming community at Whiteface Community UMC, and following every service we have a fellowship with light refreshments. We love to see new faces on Sunday!

Our worship is relaxed and personable, with participation from lay folk of all ages and music that reflects the diversity of musical talent in our congregation.  We have a vocal choir, a bell choir, and a small band including strings, acoustic guitar, piano and, sometimes, even percussion. Prayers, lyrics, scripture readings and images appear on screen to add to our worship experience. We occasionally enliven the Gospel message with skits.

Some of our young participants have trained to be acolytes who have the important job of bringing in the Light of Christ at the beginning of worship and carrying it out at the conclusion. They are also liturgists, ushers, and greeters!

Our worship begins on Sundays at 10:30 AM.

We are part of the Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church, and the Adirondack District.

Use our Contact Us page to be in touch. We would love to hear from you!
